Once we have received your initial enquiry, we will arrange a discovery call or visit where we will discuss your goals and answer any questions you may have.
We will then offer an estimate and get you booked in for your sessions.

At present we cover Sussex, Surrey, South London & surrounding counties. If you are relocating outside of these areas, please get in touch as we may still be able to help subject to travel costs.

For a successful decluttering session we will need you to be present for at least some of the day to make the decisions on what will stay and what will go. Once the decisions are made, we can be left to organise your home without you needing to be around.

At DUO we appreciate that everyone finds elements of the decluttering process difficult. You will never be forced to get rid of anything you don’t want to but we will be there to guide and assist you in making decluttering decisions to allow you to achieve your end goal.

During your free consultation we will get to know you and the results you are looking for.
Timescales are different for everyone and therefore we will decide with you whether one, two or more organisers will work best for your circumstances.

With decluttering we like to work with our clients at a pace that is comfortable for them and therefore at first it can be difficult to give an exact time of how long any given space will take. For many people, working with a professional organiser is the step they need to enable them to let go of items easily and quickly where others take there time over each item. During your initial consultation we discuss the process in more detail and provide you with a rough estimate.

This is probably one of the most common things said to us as professional organisers and I always like to remind our clients that if everyones house was clutter-free and organised we wouldn’t have a job to do. We understand and empathise with the many reasons why a house gets to a stage where you may need our help so please do not worry.

Whilst we won’t have time to do a deep clean we always wipe over/dust any areas that we have emptied before organising items into their new home.

Not unless you are happy for us too. We always check with clients before sharing any photos and there is never any pressure to say yes.

To eliminate stress nearer your move, At DUO we recommend starting the decluttering process as early as possible. Having less items in your home can make your home look larger and more appealing to potential buyers aswell as saving time and money during the packing and unpacking stage.

Of course! Each and every client’s house move is different which is why we offer our free no-obligation discovery call to get to know you and your situation. Some clients are downsizing and just in need of a pre-move declutter blitz, some want us to help them take the stress out of unpacking so they are able to get on with family/work commitments and some need our help with it all. Whatever your circumstance we can adapt to create a bespoke move package that works for you.

We do not currently offer a packing service; clients choose to pack for themselves or via the removal team of your choice. As part of our pre-move decluttering service we categorise your items into groups and can give you tips and processes which will make it easier for you when you start to pack.

As part of our unpacking service, we will have a pre-move discussion with you about your new home and storage needs. We will make suggestions on types and locations of storage to suit you and your budget that we would recommend to maintain systems and help keep your possessions tidy and organised.

When you book the DUO team you are booking more than an unpacking service, we turn your new house into a beautifully organised home. With a removal firm your items will be unpacked from the boxes as quickly as possible with the main aim being to “get rid of the cardboard”

We aim to have you out of boxes within a couple of days – however this is dependent on the size of your property and quantity of boxes.
We have a team of professional organisers we pull in for larger moves and will always liase with you to find out which rooms are the priority to enable you to relax as quickly as possible.

Moving day can be hectic and demanding. To avoid rummaging through multiple boxes, we recommend packing a bag of essential items. On the day of the move, your moving company will transport your boxes. Unexpected delays may occur, so our team arrives from day two onwards to begin your unpack.

This happens frequently and is not a concern.
We communicate regularly with you around the time of your move, and if things change, we can move the unpacking dates accordingly.

No, we don’t offer a removals service, we do have a list of local firms that we would recommend our clients use. Our DUO services take the stress out of your move by ensuring you are out of boxes, beautifully organised and able to relax and enjoy your new home straight away.

Yes, we are fully insured and all team members are required to hold a current DBS certificate.
